Gustavo Jobim has been working with electronic music since 2000. The composer collaborated with artists from around the world such as Conrad Schnitzler, Damo Suzuki, Michael Brückner, Zumbi do Mato and others. Jobim has participated in multimedia projects working with photography and film. He received the Best Original Soundtrack award in CINE-PE 2018 for his work on Os Príncipes, a film by the acclaimed director Luiz Rosemberg Filho, produced by Cavídeo.

Jobim took private music lessons between 2000 and 2003, then studied piano under Wladimir Tourinho and João Carlos Assis Brasil. He went on to develop a personal style based on layered improvisations and beats recorded with a variety of instruments. The music shows influences from early 20th century classical music, American minimalism, 1970s/80s electronic and progressive music.

Since 2018 Jobim has been releasing a series of studio performances on Youtube, some of which were released in recent albums. In 2020 Jobim created a new project called Mystica Visio of dark ambient/dungeon synth. From 2000 to 2021, Jobim released more than 30 albums including solo and collaborations, some of them with labels such as Sinewave, Wyrm Lodge Records, Cyclical Dreams and Ultra Gash Records, among others.

Gustavo Jobim owns a catalogue with 200 works and is a member of UBC - União Brasileira de Compositores - affiliated with the Brazilian copyright agency ECAD, member of IFPI.
