"Fantastic! I got obsessed with the opening track, a 20 minutes tour de force, which has a soundtrack vibe, something between the italian 70s and american porno, though filtered in slow motion with the usual Esmectatons adornments: the hallucinated lines, the percussion insinuating multiple beats etc.
But it definitely uses conservative tricks: the sequence of chords respects the minimum for a catchy progress, and the guitar (amazing tone!) work is perfectly placed.
It reminded me of a Godard's cahiers text where he praises the classic decoupage. He develops the idea, then you understand he started from the same premises when he produced his films - they might look unconventional, but they use conventions to expand possibilities in imagery. And that's what I feel from Skronking With Esmectatons' opening suite."

"First track is a lengthy ridiculous avant-prog suite (detuned guitar, sax and synth/piano + drums). I've been trying to recover the original instrumental tracks for a decent mix for so long - I have a serious problem losing HDs and backups - but I just gave up, is not like the proper master I tought it deserved would turn this track more listenable. The rest is kind of a leftovers compilation. Second track was from the ambient/noise sessions with Jorge Michael and Maria Eloiza, basically random electronic noise and bass during soundcheck, but well, I love noisy soundchecks. Tracks 3 and 4 were recorded live at this specially awful gig (the shitty performance was legit this time), though there was a dog in the front of the crowd barking, wich was cool. I believe I have stored somewhere another and longer set recorded in that venue, featuring the same dog barking."
